I really loved this! The John bits were "oh, John"-inducing, and the Rodney bits were lovely, especially his peculiarly McKay-ish version of the Big Gay Freakout. Absolutely wonderful.

As if enjoying the fic above wasn't enough, now I'm having a laughing fit. :-D I've been very lucky in my fanficcing to never have run across anything like that for real.

Just the right combination of humor and angst in the flashbacks, and I like the near-total lack of sweet in their first time. Especially with the way John is so paranoid here (and rightly so, stupid DADT); I can't see them doing romantic right away. And yet, there's the arm across Rodney's stomach, the small gesture that's huge. Really nice fic.

Very nice! I particularly liked the flashbacks to their first experiences, I could absolutely see things happening that way and shaping who they end up being. The bit with Rodney going to library to figure out what was going on and his rant about why they should continue just cracked me up, and was pitch-perfect Rodney. Scott getting married and living in Edmonton was a cute touch. :)

"Remember," John says, and stops to yawn. "I don't. Do. Relationships."
Uh huh, you just keep telling yourself that, John. It's not like you're in a relationship with Rodney, after all.

Oh, yay, so glad you liked! Rodney on the show is consistently hilarious to me, so I'm glad you felt like I did him justice.
