Seriously, this was awesome. It had us both laughing out loud. That you made fun of Latin, Roman culture, fanfic, and McSheppers all at the same time was an absolute stroke of brilliance.

I half-knew Latin once, some twenty years ago. *pauses to think.* 21 years ago. *feels old.* But, yep, I plead guilty to being a librarian. :-)

*giggles* Loved the crack, loved the Latin and Roman culture in-jokes. I just recited this ditty to a struggling Latin student: "Latin is a dead language, as dead as it can be/First it killed the Romans, now it's killing me!" But your fic (and poor John and Rodneus) made it true!

Thanks! The Latin did half-kill me, since I was struggling to remember things I'd last used in earnest some 20 years ago. Poor Rodneus, having to live with the language full-time... ;-)
