korilian, on behalf of our pals at sgagenrefinders, requested a "Not Human" challenge because they had such a great time brainstorming stories where characters are either born not human or are transformed into something not quite human. Um, quick question... What are the comm's rules on ratings and content? I kind of had an idea for this one, but it may possibly end with "and then there was porn..." [hides]

Cool. I just wanted to double check as I didn't see too much with the higher ratings during the last challenge/round up. Now to figure out if I just trail off at the end, or try to actually write it...

I have sort of a strange question, especially since this is, at heart, a flashfic community, but I didn't see anything addressing this in the userinfo. I was wondering about your policy on vidbites (the fanvid version of flashfic) being submitted for the challenges. I have an idea for a vidbite for the latest challenge (Not Human) but before I worry about getting it in before the deadline I need to know if it's accepted here. Are vidbites allowed?

Vids and art are both welcome as challenge responses; I've never heard the term vidbites, but I don't see why we wouldn't want them as well!

Dear Lovely Admins -

Could we have a 'oh my god, it's f***king freezing' challenge? (I imagine there are less profane ways to sum it up, but you get the drift). The heat goes out in Atlantis; there's a freak snowstorm on New Lantea; the Team gets stuck on Hoth; there's no hot water for two weeks (this may or may not be Rodney's fault); there's a planet where night is boiling and daytime is freezing; there are rituals involving saunas and icy dips in lakes -- and you know every last one of these is really leading us to that marvelous, fantastic, wonderful chestnut of chestnuts: shared body heat. WHO DOESN'T LOVE SHARED BODY HEAT?
