John Sheppard was surprised to find, however, that he did care what people thought of him; he actually had something to lose. Ohhh.... how heartbreaking that it took John this long to figure this out..... ::snuggles him::

What a sad commentary for a hero to relay. Yet, this is how hero's are made, trying their best to 'make up' for their imperfections again and again. What the world sees is the effort, the over the top, the larger than life, and never the pain behind it.

This was masterful, thank you for sharing. It was pure John Sheppard.
