Thanks. Rodney's facial expression in "Before I Sleep" when he heard Old Weir's story was very telling. I can see him having nightmares about his alternate reality self.

Thanks! I suppose this is ripe for a sequel; I'll have to think about what to do with it. (Although I already gave John telekinetic abilities in Mind Over Matter...)

The Stars My Destination was one of my first sci-fi books, too, while I was in junior high. I didn't understand it at first but liked it much better when I reread it in college. :-)

The nightmares were quite eerie, but made the story all the more better for it.;)

Loved the superpower reveal too, you had me thinking it really was going to be sleepwalking or something up until the end.:D

Thanks! I wonder what Rodney's reaction would be if he were to discover he had such an ability. I may have to add a coda to this story. :-)

Excellent story, had me intriguied and sympathetic all the way through. The way you intimated sleepwalking until someone sees Rodney actually jaunt is perfect. And the interspersed dreams perfectly chilling and frightening.

when you said 'jaunt' I immediately thought of the 'Tomorrow People', although Rodney's a little too old to be discovering that he's a Tomorrow Person (puberty is the trigger).

sequel, please!

Ooh, I loved that show! Can you imagine Rodney as Megabyte? John might make a good Kevin, too.

I'm thinking about a sequel, or at least a coda. I have to figure out what Rodney's reaction would be when he finds out.
