I saw this image -- http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap070717.html. And got to thinking about perception. And that led to the story.

This I loved. Rodney's Pearl is a wonderful name. The banter and the delight they take in something new, for once not threatening, is perfect.

Thank you. It was surprisingly more difficult to write a non-action/not-potentially dangerous situation, but I thought that they deserved to find something in Pegasus that just... was.
