Wow. That was really very beautiful. I like that it was from Ford's POV - I don't see that as often as I'd like. And interesting that the lack of the gene enabled them to do the fun stuff for a change.

And as much as Alavah is a net, it’s a wheel; birth, life, death, and finally peace, and no matter what happens in between, the ending is the same, and the only true pain in life is a life wasted, a wheel unfinished.

I especially liked this bit. It made me feel maybe a smidgen of the comfort Ford and Teyla were feeling.
