Kate's office was peaceful, or maybe it was Kate herself. John didn't know which, just that he liked going there. )

Ouch. This really hurts -- to think that as much as John loves the people in his life, he can't open up to them. And it fits very well with what we see on the show.

I'm not awake yet, so all I can really say is very nice, feels so in character for John. :) And yay, more writing from you!

I'm glad you think so.

And there will always be more fic from me.

This feels just perfect to me. Horrific in a way but logical, and it makes me hurt for both John and Kate. Plus, all the resulting character analysis in this was fab.

Thanks. I think I'd hate to be Kate in that situation, but she helps him in any way she can, even if it's just helping him hide.

I love this. Of course John has to open up to someone, and Kate is the best choice.

I certainly think it makes sense. Thanks!

ouch, and interesting that he uses Kate as a kind of release, as opposed to the way most fic writers have of him completely stonewalling her. Nice one.

I got a bit tired of the stories where John hates being told to go to Kate. I think he of all people would understand that having someone to talk to, someone non-judgmental whose ethical code outlaws gossip would be a good thing.

Thanks.

Heightmeyer's job as I imagine it is best illustrated by Julad's "The Secret Life of Scientists". This fits well that.
