Oh, wow, Bates-centric fic. I didn't think this existed, even after Letters From Pegasus. ;) I'm impressed, especially by your treatment of his issues and professional paranoia. And the pills. That tiny little detail makes the short more than anything; it really shows how driven he is.
I didn't see this before you posted--I like this a lot. We really need to do a "other characters" perspective challenge at some point, because it's amazing to think of Sheppard as a flyboy with a do-not-promote stamped on his record who only got brought along because Weir wanted herself a piece of ass in a uniform and McKay wanted somebody to flip the fucking light switches. WAY cool.
