This is so cute! I love the story of Momotaru and you've done a great job of fitting SGA characters to the animals in the story. I particularly like the dog, who seems to embody both Ford and Ronon. :)

Thank you!

...the dog's supposed to be Ford. How is he managing to be Ronon?

And they fit themselves, really. I'd think of someone and go "Oh, of course, that has to be ___."

I think it was the dog's 'I don't like Wraith' that made me think of Ronon more than Ford, although most of the other characteristics were pure Aiden 'not allowed to name anything, ever' Ford.

...I'm fairly sure once they'd eaten his commanding officer, Ford didn't like Wraith either. ^_^

Then they cut their heads off and kicked them away, just to be sure.

Oh, I *know*. Don't get me started on the whole "Why don't the Atlantis teams carry machetes?" question, I'll just start to rant.

Um, where were the Wraith keeping the people who hadn't been dinner yet, if it wasn't the hive?

*Love* the last sentence. Ding dong the merry-o! Sing it high, sing it low!...

Besides, there ought to be enough sf and horror fans and slasher-movie-watchers on the expedition to know that if you have to ask -- it ain't dead. *pats back sympathetically*

//Um, where were the Wraith keeping the people who hadn't been dinner yet, if it wasn't the hive?//

In the bottom of the hive. The drone blew up the top where all the hibernating Wraith were (if you remember, Sheppard looked up from the caretaker's chamber, saw what looked like stories and stories of cells, and got that 'oh, SHIIIIT' look on his face). I should tweak that.

//*Love* the last sentence.//

Thank you! Happy endings all around, medetashi-medetashi. ^_^

I've always loved the original story, and this is a gorgeous adaptation of it. Come to think of it, pretty much all of your stuff is gorgeous. How do you manage it?

Or rather, ignore the question and keep writing. ^_-
