This was so lovely! I haven't had the chance to read a lot of the other stories this week, but now I can't wait.

I love your descriptions of the chamber, the way they figure out what's going on, and how John has deeper thoughts about the whole experience after.

Pretties. I especially liked "All quiet here," Sheppard said, and the touch of his voice was fading, like a warm hand being slowly drawn away.

Synesthesia is such a cool concept. This story gets like 300 cool points for using it. I also loved John at the end, and of course "Forty-Two."
