wonderfully heartbreaking. I'm going to buck the trend and say I don't believe it needs a sequel; you've shown us everything we need to know--John's pent-up rage, and McKay's guilt, and in the end, just a little acceptance, by simply looking where he wouldn't before. well done!

I tend to agree that we don't really need a follow-up to this. I do have an idea for something from Rodney's POV, but it wouldn't be a sequel, really - more of a companion piece. But thanks very much for reading and sharing your views! I'm glad you enjoyed the story.
