Chuck doing Weird Al Yankovich (don't know that one, but I can guess), Ronon doing a version of the Haka (yes, I paid attantion during Sateda too). And then Rodney, RODNEY! Brilliant! Well done!

The icon is of someone else who's been a member of the G&S Soc.

I wanna roll with the gangstas,
But so far they think that I'm too white and nerdy!

...and it goes downhill from there.

Weird Al Yankovich's myspace. The song is on autoplay when you get there, but the clip is a little further down the page.

Rodney singing satire is just a natural follow-on from Rodney singing anything at all.

(Is that Rob Lowe in your icon?)

That's Rob Lowe as Sam Seaborn from The West Wing - there was an episode where there was this debate going on about whether 'He is an English Man' was from 'Pirates' or something else. Sam admitted to having been secretary or treasurer or something of his college G&S Soc. He's a geek - he just hides it well, like Sheppard.

You win the Internet for that link to Weird Al!

'I'm fluent in Javascript as well as Klingon'

'I add to Wikipedia'

'The only question I thought was hard,
Was do I like Kirk, or do I like Picard'

And Donnie Osmond as a totally random guest star in the video! Actually I can see a scary amount of this applying to Rodney... I mean he makes jokes about DOS!

Ahh. See, I never got around to watching WW, although I know people who swear by it.

Hehe. The link came to me c/o a friend in the comics industry. I laughed my ass off the first time I saw it.

So Donnie Osmond is the guy doing the random dancing in front of the whiteboard?

Ronon does a little haka-like thing in the episode Sateda, just before he goes into a fight at the end of the ep.

For some reason, the phrase: "and verily, he smote his own chest, and his thews were sound" came to mind when I saw him do that.

The mental image of Ronon doing the haka is one that had me *howling* like a madman. XD LOVE. I can just imagine his hair bristling as he intimidates the everlovin' daylights out of everyone. :D

While I first began writing this, he was going to actually sing. Then I remembered Sateda and thought of the haka and there was nothing else to do but write it in!

Great! I really love the additions that you've made - it has a really nice flow now and nice overall follow-through (using G&S against the G&S society adds an excellent irony)
