Thanks! Wee!John is too cute in my head.

By the way, I have a La Femme Nikita fic. I wouldn't mention this but, well, you and I share, like, six fandoms including that one and that marks you, I, and zaneetas as the only people I know who like LFN. So, I thought you might be interested.

interesting! I liked it, especially the quite natural flow of the dialog--I mean that as in it wasn't, but perfectly stilted and off-balance. thanks!

This was excellent! Great look at young John, and I really didn't see the big twist coming. It's a nice change from the abused-John paradigm that so many writers use when they touch on his childhood, and you make it so real, not a "poor John" story that makes us want to feel sorry for him, but something that just *is* -- even though it's sad, it's just his life and he deals with it. And you've also got the teenage awkwardness down, and the way that John, even so young, hides his real emotions under a lazy grin. Nice job!

Ooh, thank you for such nice comments! I really appreciate it. And, yeah, my co-writer and I really like this backstory and feel it fits the character pretty well.

This was great - John all young, a little insecure, and embarrassed, without the emotional cover that years of life have provided him. Well-written and a pleasure to read.
