Oh yes. Yes, yes, yes. This hits right into the senior staff's characterizations and relationships, it's exactly what they ought to do every time the Daedalus arrives, and it hits Rodney's angst just right, that the important things won't be shouted, just written in big black marker. Strokes all my canon kittens just right.

Thank you! I really wish they would show us something like this in the show, it would certainly give more depth to the show and the characters.

That's exactly why 'Hot Zone' is one of my favorite episodes ever. We get to see that Rodney does have good leadership abilities and that he takes them seriously.

I just...I knew John would show up anyway, invited or not, because that's just how he is. :D

I love that Rodney is capable of doing that and really wish we could see more of it on the show. Or at least a little more of how he and the science department interact because I'm certain it would be fascinating. :)
