Thank you! You can't imagine how relieved I am to hear that because I haven't done a lot of stream of consciousness kind of writing and I wasn't entirely sure it was going to make sense to people.

I do think Rodney's exactly the kind of guy who could get addicted to things, and I've always been a little disappointed the series didn't do more with that between the stims and the enzyme. They had opportunity. So I had to fill in the blanks.

Thanks! I mean, I was going for a little bit heart-breaking. I think sometimes the rest of them don't really see Rodney as anything other than the guy who fixes stuff, and one of these days they're going to realize what that's doing to him. (I love this fandom - so much room for angst!)
