That's really cool! I like the birthing beliefs and traditions you've given the Athosians, and like how you show Carson dealing with them.

I now admit that in fact, I have another fic mostly drafted that has some stuff in common with this fic, and I just riffed on that (unposted) fic. I personally like this pairing but I get that it's not a popular favorite. Somehow I feel compelled to continue.

Angstcakes!

Yay! I've always liked how you write Halling, and I love how you wrote Teyla here too.

I love the way you extrapolate from what the series has given us about the Athosian's religious beliefs. And, aside from the squishy feelings I get for Carson and Halling, I really enjoyed the exchange between Teyla and Halling, the way they could discuss beliefs and rituals and the need to bond closer with the contingent from Earth.

Oh, thank god, it's not just me.

I have no idea why I like this pairing. None.

Not only do you make me believe Halling/Beckett, you also make me love Teyla. Wonderful stuff.

What's not to love? Oh, besides the fact that all the Athosians seem, in their inability to use contractions, a little too literal, a little too noble, a little stuck up.

I've always wanted to see more of their culture. I guess you guys all get that now. *g*
