I want to read the rest of the story (read in as whiny a voice as you can imagine). I like Kolya fics, he's a fascinatingly interesting character, and I am always interested to read other people's take on him.
This is massively intriguing. Kolya is a character who interests me anyway, but McKay's non-reaction here was a unique take, I think (it's too easy to go for the angst-ridden damsel in distress thing) and the power relationships in this story are fascinating. Which of them has the power when Kolya wants a reaction and McKay can't oblige? Co-dependency yay! (ahem). I wonder whether they end up in (a kind of) love? And what will McKay do if/when Sheppard *does* rescue him? And what's Sheppard thinking this whole time? And do they have an established relationship or is McKay just wishfully thinking or deliberately messing with Kolya's head?
Ooooh, I'm just, can't wait for the whole thing now, you teaser you *g*.
I was inspiring by reading comments about the odd way Kolya looked at McKay and responded to him.
Yes! There is definitely *something* between them. Were these the comments you were thinking of? I'm not sure I agree with everything here, but it's an interesting discussion.
For the rest of it, you'll just have to wait.
Cruel *g*. Would you consider posting the alternative versions of this scene that you have written?
Anyone coming across this (very good) fic and these comments while browsing the archives, be warned - the comments linked above feature some of the most ridiculous speculation about a character that I have ever read. Even given the fact that they only had half a season of canon to work with at that point...

What can I say, I have a soft spot for Kolya...

And the co-dependency will figure largely in the story: they will have to depend on each other, in turn, to survive.
For the rest of it, you'll just have to wait.
