Category of the fics you'd beta: Pretty much any, except the exceptions. Crossovers I can't guarantee, but I'm a bit of fandom jumper, so maybe I got the knowledge to help you out.
Category of the fics you won't beta: Character Death, Gen, Mpreg, Songfic, Threesomes/Moresomes (unless McKay/Sheppard/Weir or McKay/Sheppard/Cadman, I'll beta those). ( Read more... )

I have an OFC-orineted future fic wip entitled "Of Personalities"(The summary/teaser is "Does anyone really think the daughter of Rodney McKay and John Sheppard *wouldn't* have issues?). The pairings are OFC/Carson (main), McShep, Teyla/Radek, Weir/Ronon, Sam/Jack, Daniel/Vala, Teal'C/Ishta, Rya'C/Kar'Yn, Pourne, OMC/OMC, but for the most part, they're all well established and just sort of there. There's a lot of angst, and there will be the death of Ford and a few canon characters I stole from SG-1 in the yet to be finished second part. It'll probably be three parts in all, and I haven't written it yet, but I don't foresee any of them going over your 5500 word limit, and they'll be at least another week before I finish the second part, and at least week after that for the third. The beta-ready first part comes in around 2900 words. I'd estimate the second part to be around 3500 and the third to 4500, but I'm just guess from the rough plot line I have. Can you do it? If you can, I'll convert my file to notepad and email it to you. ( ... )

Hey, I wondered if you might be able to read through a Letter from Pegasus tag fic. It's Ford-centric, with a bit of Ford/Sheppard, and it's about 2500 words. I'm not looking for grammar/spelling etc, but more for comments on characterisation. Particularly, I want someone who can be brutal about what doesn't work - I can take harsh criticism :)
