Wow, that was great! So teamy, and the level of detail made the story so rich.
Love this: That made it too likely that one of these days, these three would split into different directions unless Jack had them tied heart and soul to each other.
And I love Daniel's question, but especially Jack's answers, at the end of the story. Thanks for such a good read!
Wow. I put this off until I had some time to read it, and I'm glad I can read it with my full attention!
We know Jack has leadership skills, but we often see their effects rather than seeing them in use; SG-1 seems to become a pretty cohesive unit without him doing anything, but of course that can't be true.
I love how you're working in a way to make the movie and the series mesh!
Yeah, the mesh was the fresh stuff I wanted to bring to this, something to synch the two -- filling in the spaces. And I think Jack's leadership skills always stood out more when someone else came along, like Edwards, who wasn't a bad guy but was just awful when it came to dealing with someone like Daniel. And Teal'c, too, since Daniel and Teal'c pretty much went off and ignored Edwards. It showed then just how careful Jack has been in handling his team and making them work as a team.
I had to look up Edwards; I'd forgotten who he was! Yeah, now I remember feeling kind of sorry for the poor guy. Teal'c and Daniel? He was outnumbered and outgunned!
I think Cam never quite gets it down either, though he makes a better effort at it. How often did he ask himself, "Why did I ever want this team?"
So I enjoyed both of the pieces you wrote for this ficathon, and I was wondering if you archive you fic anywhere? I'd love to read more, I just don't know where to look.

Seriously, it's absolutely wonderful. This is exactly what I was hoping for someone to write. Thank you! :)

Oh, yeah. I'd done early team stuff before and I was a little worried I wouldn't have anything fresh to bring to it. So it's great this hit the spot!

Yeah, I'm a sucker for keeping to a good ending -- it's got to at least be satisfying.
