Ouch! That was always going to be an awkward conversation, considering the men and the circumstances. Well done! Daniel stood firm, although he must have hated doing it.

My take is that Daniel is the only person who could have convinced him to keep quiet.

Yes... ouch!

Poor Daniel, having to be that person...

Nicely done!

I do believe that falls under the category of 'damned distasteful' that Jack mentions. Glad you liked it.

Yeah, Sam could have done it but Daniel knew just where Steven was most vulnerable: he wanted the attention for himself.

Very plausible way for this conversation would have happened. How characteristic of Daniel to push his friend into the lesser of the inevitable two evils that awaited Steve. Nicely done.

“I’m already there, Steven.”

Oh, OW.

Yeah, it probably played out like this. I do like to note that Raynor did have a good side to him - he admitted flat out that Daniel was right, even when he was lying half-dead - and you, too, have that here. But the aftermath from such a disaster could never be pretty.

Poor Steven. And Daniel. And Sarah.

Thanks for contributing. :)

I don't think anyone is all good or all bad. Steven, as Sarah points out, had been living in Daniel's shadow for years. And, yes, I know you could argue that was just Osiris stroking Daniel's ego to garner his cooperation.

I always thought Steven was acting like the petulant child who was tired of being upstaged yet again by his golden boy older brother. But his acknowledgment of Daniel's theories proved a surprising maturity. I think a different Steven emerges from this incident. He's lost all his anchors: Dr. Jordan, Sarah and his beliefs in everything he knew to be true.
