Chloe and Scott were willing to stay behind on a planet in "Faith", so it will be interesting to see what their reactions are now knowing that the Destiny is leaving the galaxy.
I don't think that Eli will adjust too well to camping and such, and he'll probably go through severe withdrawal from his technology. I know how I get when my electricity goes out and I can't use my microwave oven! :O
I think it's great that they're able to tell their stories in a more serial fashion. The "nick of time" resolutions from SG-1 and SGA were dictated by their format, but with SGU, they are trying to make the episodes tell more of a continuous story. TPTB have said that this season is basically one 20-part story -- more serialized.
Even though Rush said that one of the probes was to transmit and the other to receive, it does seem that there was some bleed-through. Rush did say that he was able to block out the probes against his mind. The aliens didn't intend for there to be influence or control from the "subject's" end, but they might have been hastily put together before the aliens could really understand human physiology.
It reminds me a little bit about how Sha're was able to use the ribbon device connection originating from Amaunet to communicate with Daniel in "Forever in a Day" and the time that Daniel used his Ancient knowledge to turn Replicator Carter's probing of his mind against her in "Reckoning".
Even the Communication Stones have some kind of bleed-through (like when Scott had Telford's memories after he had swapped bodies with Telford).
Chloe seems to have picked up something from the probes, for sure. I wonder how much more Rush knows. Don't you think it kind of makes them untrustworthy since they've been in the hands of the enemy?

I really can't remember them ever running into a large predator in their initial impression of a planet in any incarnation of StarGate.
