And then the original Daniel Jackson will die of old age in ancient Egypt. But all these people, after the adventure is over, they now go back to our timeline. They stay in ancient Egypt and live out their lives. And then are born again at the appropriate time in the late 1900s, come to find this tape, and they go “what is this?” And it’s a tape of their alternate timeline people saying this is what’s supposed to be. ... And that closes the time circle. That means that it’s done. They don’t have to go back anymore. So it just loops back once and then it’s over.If I understand this correctly, it means that the team at the end is the same team that went back and died originally. This is a bit different than I understood things to be, and infinitely less awful, as it means that while Daniel did have to live out a life in Egypt after seeing

Essentially, our SG-1 doesn't have to go back in time because they already went back in time.
