I am filling out the poll and thinking "which one was that"? I don't really remember each individual challenge by name or number so you can probably totally discount my vote. But I didn't use a skip because I tried every one so I found something in each one. But I ticked because "It's what I DO!"

But, you Mods and all the community members are great and I will be back to be kicked around some more next round.

Hmmm...I wonder if that speaks to the caps being unmemorable or the to the challenge names being unmemorable. ;-)

It wouldn't be the same without you so I'm extremely happy that you'll be returning for another round. Yay!

It has nothing to do with the caps or the challenge names. It has more to do with perimenopausal memory!

I would like to see more of the goauld in the next challenges. while there were many enemies throughout Stargate the Goauld were the ones who really made Stargate happen and I would really like to get a chance to icon them more.

I want to state for the record that I did not pay you to make this comment. I was never happy with the Ori-as-main-villain; I SO preferred the goa'uld, campy though they often were, to a wall of CGI fire. When I very first started making icons, I made a set of icons that I thought Teal'c would make if he were an LJ iconner: all system lords, all dead. The execution leaves a lot to be desired but the idea of Teal'c pictorally cataloging the deaths of false gods still amuses me.

I thought that I was pretty much alone in my goa'uld love in icons because I see so few of them made or used.

I'm totally on board with this. While we've had some beautiful Ori icons in the contest, I never liked the Ori. I've always preferred the Goauld. :)

I think you shouldn't worry about themes too much - I mean, you can't use them as criteria for voting, so it probably doesn't make much difference if you have them for challenges. Maybe just pick an episode and cap that?

Banner-making, count me in! :)

From what I recall (there were a lot of challenges and caps!), the main characters seemed to have been well represented. My biggest concern when I signed up for this competition was that newer characters (and villains) wouldn't be represented as strongly as the older characters - but the mods did a nice job balancing it all out. I think that's really what the priority for the caps should be, making sure to give icon-makers all sorts of different options to work with, not just the 'popular' choices. I may typically prefer one hero or villain over another, but who knows what caps will inspire me that week.

Having said that, I would like to see more secondary characters included. People like Landry or Carolyn or Lee or Reynolds. I can't really remember all that many caps of them.

Ideas for challenges? Hm...maybe a focus on body parts? (hair, only portions of the face, arms, etc) I saw this somewhere else and it resulted in some really interesting icons. Maybe something about 'tears,' we all love a little angst, right?
