Aren't they faboo? I'm really excited that not only do we have these amazingly clear caps to offer our members** but, as you rightly note, many of these are moments that aren't the normal ones iconned. The beauty of 10 seasons plus movies is that there's a real wealth of material to mine. :)

** Actually, it's the fandom in general that benefits as I know several icon makers visit our comm to snag caps. :)

You've been very generous to the comm in spending the *hours* to create the caps. I wanted to be certain that everyone checked out the caps, even if they weren't active competitors

Besides, I wanted to brag. I think we've got the best early seasons caps. :)

I couldn't make an icon to save my life, but I have to step in and give props to avidrosette - seriously, early season SG-1 caps are almost always grainy and don't reflect how awesome those years were...thank you for your hard work! :)

Aren't they amazing? I thought it wasn't possible to get high quality caps from the early seasons because I'd seen only grainy caps in the past. Not only are these crisp and clear, but they have 72 pixels per inch. The grainy ones I've seen in the past are only 3 ppi and that means when the cap is cropped and made smaller, it gets fuzzy and loses detail. 72 ppi should allow for *much* higher quality icons. *makes with the twirly dance again*

I was so excited to hear this, and finally got a chance to take a good look at the new sets of caps, and now I'm even more excited -- they are GREAT!

I too did not believe it was possible to get good caps of the early seasons. I thought the problems were just endemic to the quality of the video source from back then, and have consoled myself with hoping they'd re-master at some point. But the early-seasons caps are gorgeous.

I also love the choice of scenes/moments/frames across the board, from old eps and new. So much to drool over, and already I can hardly wait to see what people make with these.

VERY exciting! ::applauds and cheers avidrosette and the comm!::

Thank you! I'm so glad you like the caps. I can't wait to see what you do with them.

Thank you, too, for teaching me everything I know about screencapping. :-)

Congrats on the spectacular Teal'c/Ishta icon this past round!
