Did you create a few icons for the challenge and then choose the best one to submit? Did you make icons from the caps though you did not participate in the last challenge?

If so, this is where you can post those "rejected" icons (along with your submitted entry) and make them sharable to others.

I really like your entered icon. So you went with the real colors eh? Probably a good choice.

I love "galactic handicap" - great text :) I also like the way you did the text on Manwich.

That icon was an experiment with Levels for coloring and the cloning tool to remove the handrail. I liked your crop better. :)

I got all uncertain as to whether "Galactic Handicap" was golf-illy correct. I made the mistake of looking at the wiki entry for handicap (golf) and managed to confuse myself royally. I figured Manwich was U.S.-centric and that I'd lose points for the chartreuse background.

I seldom worry about being fully correct with text. Even when I look it up I get it wrong sometimes. The woes of the intrawebs. TMI.

Is chartreuse a deal-breaker?

The coloring on all of these (minus the greyscale, heh) is beautiful. Especially the animated one. I wish you'd entered any of the ones with Jack/Daniel alone in that image. They're all stunning.

I really like the coloring on your entered icon. Is the aspect ratio off on that cap though? The gate looks oval.

Animated - cool - nobody even tries that. I really like the coloring on that one as well. Always cool to see what you do - so creative.

I really like the way you kept that bit of the DHD in the crop in your first alternate. It gives a sense of space to have the closer object in the foreground, and I also like the way it suggests gate activity and dialing out, and how that plays off the three of them just hanging out there. :-)

Those icons are so not you. You must have been in a real funk.

You entered icon probably would have been fine without the text. And I keep telling you to try text and then when you do, I slag you! Please keep trying - the sentiment was good.
