Sometimes it seemed like they couldn't win. On a rigidly patriarchal planet, all it took was for Teyla to open her mouth. Never mind that what she said was useful and wise. No one would listen. No one would listen to any of them after that. Men who couldn't keep their women silent weren't worth listening to. When things devolved into a shouting match, Teyla was the one to turn on her heel and head for the Stargate ( ... )
