1) Vala's initial suggestion of Daniel was immediately vetoed. First by Daniel and then by both Sam and Mitchell. At this stage Daniel was still trying to stay away from Vala when possible, but he was a little offended by the others' reasoning. According to them it was a little too obvious, just from having ridden with him, that Daniel had spent many of his early driving years in countries where "chicken" was standard passing etiquette

Ha, wonderful! Loved the dissing of Daniel and Cam's driving habits, and ashen-faced Sam. And naturally Vala would be all over drag racing! Hee!

Heh, I got the idea of Daniel's driving from an Egyptian family friend, and the stories my mother told about driving in Mexico. And yes, Vala drag racing just seemed obvious to me :)
