*hugs* You're awesome :) I put up with some of the mentality you complain about pretty regularly in my work - hell, even from my own family nowadays! I agree with you completely about the 'ready for a fight, even if it's just in the mind' thought. Although I may feel strongly about certain issues, I don't have the energy or the public speaking skills enough to act on those thoughts without becoming the same in appearance as the raving lunatics I'd be trying to shout down, hah! I don't have the energy to be angry - or even pitiful for those who purposely manipulate and mislead others for their own gain. So instead it's become a quiet persistence, and learning through experience that offering up facts with respect, with a smile, and when invited to do so works a lot better than being angry about it. I've also learned through experience the wonderful reward of maybe not necessarily changing someone's mind or convincing them you're right, but seeing them at least open to question. It's a start!
