A little Vietnamese restaurant opened up in early March, up by Parc and Mont-Royal.

I think it's called Restaurant Phở Lâm, but I don't recall for certain, and it's run by a cute little Vietnamese family. Every time madamewoo and I go there, we see the children helping with the restaurant or doing their homework.

I really miss the place I used to go to with aldoingermany, as well as the Pho place that recently closed here. It was replaced by a pretty decent Mexican takeaway, but still. You can't get pho here now; the other Vietnamese restaurant is more upscale.

I would kill for a decent local Mexican place (Kitchener-Waterloo). There's a new place in Cambridge that's OK, and one in Guelph, but neither are particularly convenient for weeknights.

On the other hand, we've got a fairly good Pho place in downtown Kitchener (Pho Dao Bo). Though it doesn't look as upscale as your Pho place Simon!

There is no way an authentic Mexican place would open up in K-W. It's difficult to find those if you're more than 100 miles north of the border.

Upscale is nice, but having good cheap food is much better, in my opinion.

That's nice to know. All the good Pho restaurants I know of are nowhere near my neighbourhood. This one might just fill the void.

I don't think they have bún, but I never really look for it. They do have a great cà phê sữa đá, though.
