Do you know why?

Because every time I go, I find something new and special and wonderful to fall in love with. Sure, there are people that are trying to make Toronto like New York, but they've only got money. They don't have spirit.

> I had a little breakfast at the corner café, a place called Java Jive. The coffee was terrible, but the grilled-cheese was fine.

I could swear I just read the other day when a Torontonian was saying that Java Jive had the best coffee in Toronto.

Oh, and your photo of 'blizard' looks like a grilled food product. Is that deliberate?

I don't know what they were thinking, but the coffee itself isn't very interesting. Perhaps they like mild, insipid coffees? i deal Coffee has much better stuff.

The caption on that photograph was a bit wrong, wasn't it?

I'm in Ottawa right now. And I'll be heading to Waterloo on Sunday.

But soon I'll settle down. I hope.

At least bi-monthly I make a sad post about how I'm terribly homesick for Toronto and not once I get an invite.

Am I that low on the list?

Oh dear, this wasn't meant to be a snub.

This trip had special purpose, which is why I rented a car to drive down. Normally, I just take the train.

You're certainly welcome to book a ticket and come down with me, the next time I go to Toronto.

Hey Simon,
Chiara and Xuan Yen are the names you didn't get. And eveyone should know, Simon was absolutely fearless at the fish store, truly an inspiration for all foodies. You're a pro Simon!

You do know that I've had practise buying fish at Asian supermarkets. I used to do it all the time.

Hehehe...I hope you've gotten over your fear of trying to catch live fish in the bucket. Remember how you never actually wanted to hold them in your hand and/or gut them? Mmm...fish...now I'm getting all hungry. Perhaps I should go fishing with dad. I think my subconscious agrees since I've been dreaming about catching monstrous fish :)...perhaps a sign of what's to come?

You were in Toronto and you didn't give us a ring? sigh...come visit next time you're in town, ok?

I've got a small layover in Toronto again tomorrow and on Monday night. But I'll be heading to and from Waterloo by bus. It's probably a bad idea to borrow a car during the weekdays.
