full color, full sound, usually intelligible language...i remember there was an episode of batman: the animated series where he was stuck in a dream and all of the books were full of gibberish, but i've never found that to be the case. you?
Always full, vivid color, though I have a bit of trouble remembering sound, though I know they happened. I can remember the gist of the conversations, but not really the exact words (kind of like in real life, actually). When I recall a dream, it's closer to a nifty silent film with really nice cinematography with really vague noises.
I rarely see written words in my dreams. I think the occasions I have, things are legible because I too remembered that episode of Batman and noted the same thing. Also, I usually have definite plots to my dream; they are usually more literal and not terribly surreal. Fantastical, yes, but not "wtf?" And somehow I tend to know why things are going on, sort of omnipotently, like I'm being briefed subconsciously as the dream progresses. You?
The last 'cool dream' I can remember was a few days ago -- for lack of a better term, I'd call it 'sandpunk'... this glistening metropolis, nearly entirely made of sand, out on a desert peninsula in the Persian Gulf, set in some Blade-Runner-esque future, with me zipping towards it, riding through the waves alongside the peninsula on some sort of water motorcycle, with Phil Collins' "In the Air Tonight" playing in the background.
Okay, sort of hard to describe. But man, it was awesome at the time.
