i also do that with my lotion bottles too. i won't buy a new one until i'm pretty darn sure that the current one is empty. i'm the same with shampoo/conditioner bottles as well. i get peeved when my sister buys new bottles when there's plenty left in the old one. :P

I still buy new bottles of lotion because it's becomes inconvenient otherwise. It saves precious minutes to be able to just pump the stuff out quickly. I just save the old bottles in case I accidentally leave my body lotion in the bedroom and I don't feel like walking out to my bedroom in a towel to get it.

Shampoo and conditioner, I have a lot of, most of them for different purposes. My hair tends to get "immune" to them quickly. You know how if you use one shampoo too long, it doesn't work as well? So I switch 'em around.
