There used to be a commercial for some sorta high-end "dreampt" thing. Maybe a credit card, maybe it was points...but the context was "don't you just wish" and it showed beautiful azure seas beyond an immaculate poolside with white furniture and a lone woman, the one who had dreampt up the perfect scene, getting a massage from the help. I bet you can guess the colours of the complexions of the two woman--the dreamer and the help?

The ad copy basically said this is your most desired place where everything is perfect--which then requires the problematic bit: a desired place where blacks still knowing their place. It was a stunning and beautifully filmed scene that was begging for some deconstruction and neo-colonialist theory.
