What a wonderful story! I really enjoyed reading it, especially the epilogue. You really made the characters come alive!

Thank you! That's such a lovely thing to say. :)

I completely fell in love with these boys while I was writing them. ♥

Edited for jet-lagged fingers. *g*

I was pleased to go back and read the extra touches you'd added--the two of them singing to Bon Jovi was *pefect*. I could picture the scene clearly, even as I could hear the song on the radio. The use of the song there evoked a time and place as sharply as if it were an old photograph.

Lionel's story is really everyone's story, in a sense. We all have to figure out who were are and what we want out of life. What is important enough to fight for and how to be our own person in the face of parental disapproval or censure. For a young gay man in self-discovery, this is the most pivotal moment of his life to date.

The reactions of his parents, in particular the thoughtless (though well-meaning) assumptions of Lionel's mother felt very real. There is a gentleness to Lionel that should not be mistaken for weakness. He and Emmett make a wonderful couple!

Thank you so much for your input on this story - I added that Bon Jovi scene to rectify something you pointed out. :)
*hugs*

I felt that Danielle Steel gave Lionel pretty short shrift & there was so much more to him that I wanted to explore. Plus, I wanted him to be happy & find the love of his life, of course. ♥

This story was so very sweet! Lionel was so cute in his shyness and Emmett was so awesome in his devotion!

Oh this is such a wonderful tale, B. I had tears in my eyes for some of the latter part - you had me going with the car crash, but then I thought, 'No, this is B, she won't let one of them die!' but I was a bit heart in mouth there for a moment.

Love their absolute commitment to each other and watching Lionel tussle with and come to grips with who he is and handling his father. I loved Emmet's complete support and his wisdom - this was such a lovely story of growing into who you are and dealing with tricky family relationships. Thank you!

Oh, thanks, L. What a really lovely comment. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I really got involved with these boys while I was writing it & it's so nice to hear someone else doing the same!
*hugs*

Heh - of course I wouldn't let anything happen to them. You know me & my happy endings. *g*

What a sweet story! Having watched Family Album, I was expecting the accident with some trepidation, but of course you turned it around marvellously.

A truly fun read, thank you.
