You know,  I'm really sick and tired of everyone complaining about their jobs when there really isn't any reason to.  Especially if their job really only involves sitting at a desk and a computer all day.  I hear this all the time.  Try my job for a change.  The people complaining interact with MAYBE 25-30 people daily, and it's probably ok to be a ( Read more... )

haha they should put your description of our job under "job description" in the paper it's so accurate :-P and then some too...sadly.

Yet us maniacs love it and do it day after day. Maybe one day in our lifetime society's view of our job will improve. That'd be nice.

This belongs on 1st_yr_teachers . . . it's awesome.

Not to mention that you get saint bonus points for teaching MIDDLE SCHOOL, the most confused age group ever (next to college grads who don't know what to do with their lives).

As someone who "just sits at a desk and looks at a computer all day" I'd really appreciate it if you didn't judge my job. I would NEVER NEVER put down the teaching profession, and I'd appreciate it if you didn't put down my office job.

I chose to quit the education program and get a job in an office. You chose to be a teacher. I admire your profession, but that doesn't mean mine is a cakewalk. It's anything but that, to be honest. And yes, I come home tired at night, and yes, I complain about it. I have the right to, as do you.

Just the two cents of the hormonal pregnant lady...
