I wish I wasn't such a socially awkward dork. I can't count the number of times I've been invited to do something cool by someone cool and have not gone. I always want to go, but after I start thinking about what a boring stick in the mud I am and how no one will like me and how I won't have anything interesting to say or contribute, I don't go.

I like you a lot. (and your hubby, of course.) I am bummed we didn't take better advantage of living 5 miles apart. if I liked Tori better, I would've wanted to do her show with you; I thought about it, but I'd probably spend most of the time just being frustrated at her. :)

frustrated cause I feel like I could do most of what she does, if I wanted to, if I redefined a lot of my musical self. and I wouldn't do it how she does it, which means when I watch her do stuff I'm caught between YES and OH NO STOP FOR BERTHA'S SAKE.

I never found you at all boring. I understand where you're coming from though... many times I want to decline invitations because going out seems stressful, and I think I'd enjoy sitting at home by myself doing nothing more. But I've learned that's not true, so I force myself to go out, and I'm always happier at the end of the day for it.

yeah, i think that is pretty much my deal too. I'm sure everyone feels like this sometimes, I just have to make an effort to get over it and just go have fun. Your right, I will be happier if I just force myself occasionally. Nobody like a hermit!
