I got a job at the health food store in Brooklyn Heights [25 minute walk from the apartment]. It's just $8.75/hour, but that's more than I could count on at WFP. It'll pay the rent, and the people there seem awesome. I'm gonna finish the week at WFP,then I'm starting at the store on Saturday morning.

Cool. Health food store is a good place to rub elbows with environmentally-minded people. Not to mention discounts on good stuff.

Yeah, having a 20% employee discount will make it cheap enough that I can actually afford to shop there. The woman who interviewed me is a young vegan lefty with whom I briefly ranted about corporations.
