I just found this entry (and yes, I'm having one of those sleepless nights again) and I have to admit that it makes me a bit sad to realize that this amazing & wonderful anime is coming to an end

I don't think that I'm going to get much sleep tonight but this is fine since I'm kind used to this.

I'm really grateful that frostii picked the series up and even is actually FAST with the subbing. I know how much work it is, so I always have great respect for that - although of course, I would prefer an official boxed set release for a nice price. But I guess I have to dream on. ^^'
Episode 58 would be a great Christmas present though, yes!~ Two years ago I got the complete Black Jack series in French (the boxed set thingy) for Christmas...Long story short: Black Jack for Christmas = awesome.

And so am I, of course! I can only conceive of how much work it is to translate, time, edit, QC, encode and typeset and anime. I'm kind of working on a subtitle at the moment but this isn't so bad since it is mainly just about to correct a bad English subtitle (it drives me nuts to see the name 'Black Jacky' every few minutes).

I think everyone would prefer an official boxed set for a nice price (I know that there is a box set available for Black Jack 21 but the last time I checked it out on www.play-asia.com, they still wanted to have 300$ for it).

Sylf said in his entry that he has finished the translation for Black Jack 61, so I reckon that the other episodes are also translated as well.

And 58 is progressing so well that it'll probably be released by Christmas. The whole team is pumped right now to finish the series this year. We have nine days left. Isn't that exciting?

There is still a lots of other work to do before the release of an episode like timing, edit, QC, encode and typesetting.

But yeah, I'm also looking forward to episode 58 ( the manga chapter of this story is just too hilarious) and 59 (the Black Queen episode). =D
