After saying good-bye to Gunter, Gisela returned to her room to check on Jose and gather a few of her things. She lingered longer than she should have, and then had to run to the infirmary to find a couple of healers to rotate around him. She grabbed a few bottles full of red liquid and a healing salve and a bag of medical supplies, just in case.
Half an hour later, she left the castle with her bags slung over her shoulders. She reached the stables and found Gwendal there waiting. Raising a hand in greeting, she hurried toward him.
