066: difference in opinion / was never an issue
With the hot celebs game and all the pimping I've done lately, you'd think I'd given up on making graphics, but that is far from the truth. It's been nearly three months since I last posted icons, but life's been hectic, so...yeah. Today, I start off with my first ever batch for big20in20. The theme for round 03 was pairings, which is absolutely perfect cuz I just began watching Gossip Girl again after a two-season hiatus. It's a little psychotic how many Dan/Blair icons I've made over the last few weekends, but when an obsession grips my muse, it's easier to just go with it. I'm guessing that Epic probably doesn't look like a particularly exciting scene, but I became a Dair devil as soon as Blair and Dan had that heart-to-heart in the hallway, so it'll always be epic to me! As for the Wide piece, I actually did what I was supposed to do for Half and Half and vice versa. I wanted to mix it up, and hey, you can legitimately see half of each character in my icon even if it's constructed a little differently than most people would choose to do it. Besides, would anyone really expect me to do anything the normal way? I very much doubt it. (BTW, this post is meant to be my way atoning for the asstastic Dair icons I used to make. Truly horrifying. I'm very proud to say that I've shipped them since the beginning though!)
All the Never Let Me Go stuff was for a agarfield20in20 claim that I ended up not fulfilling cuz I got all lazy. Story of my life, right? Additionally, I have a few pieces I entered at an inception_land challenge and also a few requests that I completed for those who sent out help_japan v-gifts in return for icons. Big thanks to all the generous folks who lent a hand to some great causes for tsunami/earthquake relief!
As is always the case, I welcome any and all feedback or thoughts that you have about my work, both positive and negative! I know there's always more to learn, so concrit and knowing what could be flawed is just as valuable as squee over whatever you think is already wonderfully-executed. Oh, and I'd like to dedicate this post not only to my fellow Dair devils (DAIR, FTW!!!), but also to acolorfulguy and firstillusion, two people with whom I have had so much fun chatting about graphics recently! :)

It would be awesome if Google were left out of the equation, but I wouldn't know either way, right? :P Congrats to soxdamnxcute for correctly guessing "Cigarettes in the Theater" by Two Door Cinema Club, my other current obsession.
