Oh my God! This is amazing. Well I love Harry Potter and I love legend of the seeker and the way you write this make s it very easy for me to picture our girls in the hp universe! And I love that Kahlan is in slytherin! And Cara is most certainly in hufflepuff!! This is adorable and I'm looking forward to reading the next chapter!

And yes, Cara really is such a Hufflepuff -- though I imagine she finds that incredibly annoying. Those two were surprisingly easy to sort; it was the rest of the cast that proved occasionally tricky. (Well, not Richard. He's so obvious.)

Exactly. They're both too stubborn to be slowed down by silly things like house differences, nearly all their friends, and the fact that Kahlan kind of has a boyfriend! Okay, maybe slowed down, but certainly they can't be stopped.

I'm usually not into HP but the way you wrote this and the way Kahlan and Cara just fit has me hooked.
it's also a great idea to put Cara into Hufflepuff and Kahlan into Slytherin. that sure gives it an extra twist.
I'm really looking forward to where you'll take this.

For me the world-building JKR did is the strongest thing about the series, and the world of the Houses outside of Gryffindor and the main trio is what I love the most. Hufflepuffs are amazing and loyalty is an exceptionally desirable trait, but somehow they're almost completely overlooked and derided. It felt like such an easy fit for Cara.
