We had this, and the whole sex ed in biology at secondary school when we were in year 8 - age 12/13... with the teacher making the joke "there'll be no practical lessons this term."

Yes, I was thinking the same thing but I guess since it's scripted she knew. I doubt anyone can tell just by looking at you, especially since my friend is always surprised when I have mine.
Yes, it's horrible and ridiculous. The script is really bad and makes me wonder what was going though people's heads at times, especially since the girl asked is she could wash her hair on her period. It also bothers me how the teacher was convinced that just because you have your period you should do everything the same. It just screams 'Don't be a bitch, there is no excuse for that'.
