The original quote @ Midas was 1,400 . . I was like, wtf?, did you buy me a new Isuzu?? So 600, by far, was the lowest estimate, and I trust le Rick. Well, all my brakes were shot, the pads worn down, so I had been driving mith metal-to-metal for about a week. Ouch. Service included three new calipers, all new pads, rotation of some whatnot stuff, and a party hat. I thought it would be no more than 3oo, tops, but, I also need to stop when appropriate during my travels. And stop sounding like a Greyhound Bus when I brake, that too.
you should not have needed new calipers, only new pads, which should have been no more than $300. Or if you had some one to fix it for free, then $150 for the parts. Thats fuckin lame, fire your mechanic. Calipers barely ever need to be replaced, even on an isuzu.
