How I wish! No, color of jacket is sort of strange, and nothing looks good on it, so I figured I could find thread that was close enough that would work for buttons - if I could manage to wrap the buttons.

I've made them--I used the tutorial at Wooded Hamlet and the memoeof being shown how to do it in Williamsburg. I don't know of good online instructions. Therenis a book which descibes it that Burnley and Trowbridge carries.

A video tutorial is on my list. It's one of those things that's very hard to do with pictures. And I'm not exactly sure how to manage filming it either...

You should have taken my class at CoCo last year. ;-)

Are you planning on one color or two?

OMG - one color for sure! I'm not even sure I can manage that!

I can make you a tutorial for single color buttons. The way I make them isn't 100% period, but they work and it's a good way to learn.

Just as a warning, they can take a LOT of thread. I made 1" ones for a suit and I could only get three and a half buttons out of one card of twist.

Oh, you fabulous, fabulous girl! I would love you forever - oh, wait. I already do! But yes, thanks! What do you need from me?

I had a lesson a few weeks ago, and my teacher asked if I was left handed (cos I was using the opposite hands than i ought to be). Upshot is I think I'm the last one to offer advice cos my brain/hand works is hinky.

My teacher had a DVD ... which doesn't help you right now .
