Like a moth to a flame, I can't help myself when it comes to buying costume books on Amazon.  I particularly like the classics that have held up for decades, but it's also great to see the resurgence in the craft - no doubt thanks to reality tv shows, comic cons, cosplay, etc. over the last decade.   The great thing about a growing industry is that ( Read more... )

Lots of Victorian-related stuff, but anything historical really. Some technique books on pattern drafting and draping, some skill set books on knitting, lace-making, millinery, shoe-making (someday!!).

I won't generally go over $100, but there's a few out-of-print books I'd love to splurge on. Janet Arnold's "The Queen's Wardrobe Unlock'd" is at the top of my list. But I loooove my Amazon wish list. I also have a few Godey's Ladies Books (annuals) ranging from the 1850s - 1870s and I've knit a couple things out of them (sampled bits mostly).
