I went to
www.bookdepository.co.uk to pre-order the V&A's
Seventeenth-century Women's Dress Patterns: Book Two. It's going to be another long 6 month wait. My pre-ordered 1930s sourcebook was due to be published already but ahs been delayed until February. {sadface}
This is all far too much delayed gratification, so the minute I spotted it I found myself also snaffling up Jill Salen's newest book
Vintage Lingerie: Historical patterns and techniques. How did I not hear about this book 3 months ago when it was published? To quote from their website "Patterns for a range of fabulous vintage pieces from the last 120 years, including 1890s corsets, 1940s garter belts and basques, 1950s pin-up brassieres, 1920s French knickers and much more."
How could I resist, and I didn't even try :) Ahhh, not having to wait months for a new treat is superb.
