my first wishlist book of the month for 2011

woooo, it's January so I've bought my first book.  I'm being thrifty due to 2 weeks unpaid leave, so I went for
18th Century Costume in the National Museums and Galleries of Merseyside  and I can't wait for it to wing it's way around the world.

I really want Fashioning Fashion, but that was more than 3x the cost and there'll be a better paying month ( Read more... )

I know! I am very much the same way! LOL!! There is truly something wonderful and enchanting about a book! Regardless of its content!

Those all look delicious! How do you find these books? Web searching or are you on a list of some sort?

Mostly searching, but also when you look up a book on Amazon, that has 'the people who bought this book also bought x, y, z'. Book Depository also show thumbnails of 10 other books from the same interest. Being sick so much this year gave me internet time to have a good fossick around and find ones I've seen and want, and those from peeps I trust - I pre-ordered the V&A Underwear book 6 months before it was published. When I ordered that I saw the Fashioning Fashion on pre-order but by the time I had the cash for it too it was out of stock (briefly).
