Hi all! So um quick question..
So I want to make a dress in this style;

If you can find a shirt or dress pattern that looks like what you want for the top, it's easy to just cut it off where you want the empire waist and gather a skirt to it. Though if you're using one that buttons up the front you'll have to remember to add a zipper to the back (or side, but back in generally easier.) That's how I've done it.
