Project completion: Embroidered Ballet JSK

Mar 30, 2014 14:47

Project Title: Ballet jsk

I've embroidered myself another jsk! This one was my first attempt at a tiered skirt. I wanted to do a sort of old-school inspired dress, but I don't think it looks particularly old school.

More under here! )

* design element - lace, * fabric motif - floral, # dress- jsk, * design element - embroidery, * design element - tiers, * style - gothic, * style - classic

At first I thought it was applique. Then I remember reading 'embroidered'!
How long did it take? 30 good sized ballerinas, I'm not sure I would have the patience. I'm impressed :)

Thank you!

I'm not sure how long it took altogether. I started in February, but I sort of did it by finishing half a ballerina at a time then wandering off to do something else, so it took a while. At least doing it like that made things less monotonous!

Wow, this looks great! I hope to get as good as you one day. I'm not that good with embroidery.

Holy cow that's amazing! I was thinking of embroidering a vest but kept talking myself out of it, but maybe if I just try to do a little bit at a time like you, I might be able to do it!

Thanks!

You should embroider yourself that vest, even if it takes a while, I'm sure it will be worth it!
